Awesome!

It seemed like it was hiccupping a bit at the end, but I may just have my speakers too quiet to be certain. Either way, this reminded me of good nights when I was working in a darkroom for a photography class. The bluesy acoustic guitar is a perfect touch here, but it would have been fine without it. Personally, I wish I could just throw a bunch of scratching on this though lol. There are parts where the drums get a tad glitchy and it'd be awesome for this. Meh, maybe if I ever get my turntables fixed, I'll just thow some on for my own personal enjoyment lol. Still, this is really good; it's got me going through your whole gallery after this :D.

Thanks! I didn't even think about adding scratches... it would probably fit pretty nicely too... thanks for the suggestion I might mess around with it!

Freaking amazing!

I know you're catching a good deal of flack for the heavy, distorted bass, but I like it how it is. It's a good contrast to how smooth and melodic everything else is. The DnB influence can't be confined to just the drums. This actually makes a really good loop and I have to admit that it's made me want to learn blues chords REALLY badly. So, I'd say you've done a phenomenal job. Keep it up, more like this!

Again, I say it . . .

You really deserve a bit of real studio time. Instrumentally, this is your best track I've heard. The synth work is a nice counterpoint to the guitar and the percussion is really strong. The vocals are very Alice in Chains-esque or maybe reminiscent of Godsmack (though those two bands may as well be the same in my book). Another good job, something besides the bad trance that overruns NG.

Primus Much?

You wouldn't happen to be an illegitimate love-child to Les Claypool, would you lol? It's very different music, but it shows a lot of competence. Given some real studio time, I have a feeling you'd be making some really intense stuff. Like the below guy said, there are some issues with the volume on some instruments, but the overall idea sound good to me.

5/5 for concept, 3.5/5 for execution. So, pretty good in my opinion :D. If you can go back and tweak some levels, I really would advise it. I can't tell if it's keys or percussion at the end, but that little bit of a hook at the last 15 seconds or so is really really cool. I'd love to hear it brought out more.
Oh, and you should post the lyrics. They sound pretty amusing when I can make them out :D

BillySuicide responds:

Thanks for the excellent feedback. Unfortunately the master were lost in the great hard-drive crash of 2007. I don't want to speak ill of Lacie, but jeez! Anyway, these songs are stuck as they are, but I appreciate the observations for future material. Thanks again.

Haunting, Beautiful, Amazing

Having lost my brother about a year ago, this just really reminds me of sitting back and watching home videos of him as a young child. I'm trying to maintain my composure right now, but...damn this is amazing. Minimalistic, but not simple, emotional but not a dirge, and kind of uplifting in the midst of all of it. You did great. Thank you for sharing this :)

snayk responds:

I'm glad you got something out of it.

Take care, and thanks a lot.

Wow . . . Flashbacks

Reminds me of what the Sneaker Pimps could and should have been. NG really needs a trip-hop section. I'm not sure if there's a down-tempo one either, but this is too good to be shoved under "ambient." It's beautiful, and the vocalist is amazing. Really, really, really good. Best thing I've heard since I've gotten here.
